Ibis Family Reunion

Ibis Family Reunion

The hadeda is a common sight to all, and is part of the Ibis family. They can be found in vast areas from the bushveld to urban landscapes. However, in this instance, it was an exciting experience to see them joined by two of their family members; the Southern Bald Ibis with its bald red and white head, who favours the short grasslands and burnt grasslands and the African Sacred Ibis, with its black and white colouring, favouring estuaries to grasslands and marshy areas. What an amazing sight to see three different birds of the same species in one place at the same time, celebrating diversity on Nambiti Game Reserve!
