Big 5 Game Reserve
Nambiti is the only game reserve in the area with the Big 5 and currently has over 40 other species of game including cheetah, giraffe, hippo, hyena, impala, zebra and the majestic kudu. The Reserve’s 23 000 acres boasts incredible biodiversity; including savannah, thornveld, riverine bush, acacia trees and extensive grasslands that mirror the plains of central Africa. In addition, the Reserve is completely malaria free, falling far outside the low risk belt.
By night in clear conditions, stargazing is truly a magical experience as the sky comes alive.
After a smoldering summer’s day, thunderstorms often occur in the late afternoon; these brief but dramatic displays are a quintessential part of the bush experience. The dry winters are the best time to view game as the animals concentrate around water, or warm up in sunny clearings. By night in clear conditions, stargazing is truly a magical experience as the sky comes alive. The river offers excellent Yellowfish fishing and there are a number of dams within the reserve that are well-stocked with various fish species.
We are dedicated to the preservation and regeneration of our wildlife and ecosystems through partnerships with neighbouring communities and conservationists.
Since the Reserve’s vegetation is the most nutritious in the country, it is ideal for breeding and relocation programmes.
