10 Dec A year on Nambiti
As we approach the close of 2024, it’s the perfect moment to look back on an unforgettable year at Nambiti. From celebrating joyous occasions and embracing thrilling adventures to welcoming new additions to our Nambiti family, each experience has added to the rich tapestry of our journey together. Alongside the highlights, we’ve faced challenges and unexpected moments that have shaped our path.

Unpredictable Weather: Floods and Snow
In 2024, nature surprised us with everything from heavy floods to a rare snowfall. The reserve’s landscapes demonstrated their resilience, showcasing how well they adapt to unpredictable conditions and continue to thrive.

Welcoming New Cheetahs
In collaboration with the Endangered Wildlife Trust and other dedicated organisations, Nambiti introduced two new female cheetahs to the reserve. As we look ahead to 2025, we’re hopeful that these remarkable cats will contribute to the ongoing conservation efforts and the cheetah metapopulation in Southern Africa.

A New Era with African Wild Dogs
Another significant milestone this year was the successful introduction of a pack of African Wild Dogs. Partnering with the KZN Wild Dog Management Group, Wildlife ACT, Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, and the Endangered Wildlife Trust, we made a meaningful commitment to conservation. The pack adapted quickly, embracing their new home and flourishing in Nambiti’s diverse environment.

Throughout the past year, we were thrilled to welcome both new and returning guests to the Nambiti Big 5 Game Reserve. Together, we’ve shared unforgettable moments in the heart of the African bush. As we look forward to 2025, we eagerly anticipate more adventures and new memories to create at Nambiti.
