Nambiti Bushveld Adventures: 2019 Sightings
Here at Nambiti, we’ve had a simply superb start to 2019, with both early morning and later afternoon game drives rewarding guests with some amazing and exciting sightings. With all of the Big 5, as well as cheetah, hyena, and over 40 other species of animals (including giraffe, hippo, impala, eland and zebra), our guests have so much to look out for and look forward to spotting.
We’ve witnessed a wide variety of birdlife, the miracle of life in action with bountiful baby animals, close encounters with the Big 5, and we’re always learning something new about creatures great and small. Our guides and guests have even had the privilege of spotting (pardon the pun!) the ever-elusive leopards in the reserve. In particular, a mother and cub pair seem to be staying on one side of the park.
At 22,000 acres, Nambiti Big 5 Private Game Reserve is on the smaller side as game parks go. The benefits of this are that you’re able to cover more ground and have a higher chance of seeing an array of wildlife. It also means that our guides know the reserve and its animals well and can use their experience to try and find you the sightings that you’ve got your heart set on.
Here are some recent comments from 2019 guests on TripAdvisor:
Experienced close up sightings to Lions, Cheetah, Elephants, Rhino, Buffalo, Serval, and all the other antelope and animals.
The reserve is beautiful with some of the best sunrises and sunsets we have ever seen. The game drives were always positive and we saw so many animals and birds with some very close sightings.
We had very close encounters with most of the Big 5 as well as many other animals – the bird diversity was amazing. We would definitely recommend staying for a few days to see as much as possible.
